smartCARE and PROTECT-EUROPE are two dynamic, flagship projects under the EU4Health Programme 2021-2027, led by the European Cancer Organisation.
smartCARE is developing a cancer survivor smart card - in the form of a mobile app - to improve the health and wellbeing of cancer patients and survivors throughout Europe. smartCARE is a united effort to help countries in Europe meet the challenge of cancer survivorship and provide tangible support to former patients moving on with their lives.
PROTECT-EUROPE is focused on preventing cancers caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) by championing the adoption of gender-neutral vaccination in EU member states. The goal is to provide protection for everyone against cancers caused by HPV e.g. cervical, anal, penile, vaginal, vulval and oropharyngeal.
On 22 November we will celebrate the results of these two initiatives, reflect on the biggest lessons learned, and explore new opportunities for the future. Leaders in oncology, patient advocacy and policymakers will meet for a series of lively panel discussions and in-depth exchanges about these successful projects with significant potential.
